Why reading is important

In groups of 4-5, pupils have been talking a little bit about why reading is important.Then, they have written different reasons to read. This is what they have learned.

WORLD BOOK DAY

Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare and Garcilaso de la Vega died on a 23rd of April. But even more, other important writers such as Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla or Maurice Druon were born or died on that date. For these reasons, this date - 23rd April- which is a symbol for universal literature was chosen by UNESCO  to celebrate World Book Day.
